Scratched into the casing
Awakening
its frightening
grips my throat pulls me in
Something is creeping in the sheets
I feel its presence looming
As stagnate blood drips
The Feeling I should fly
into the concrete beneath this ledge
You’ve brought me to
These daggers in my side shocking me awake
feeling that I should fly into the concrete
Soul constricting
constant nightmares
We keep repeating
Unable to see
Pealing the surface off my eyes
walking through the devastation
In the wake of our constant turmoil and Bliss
its all so close together
Cracking out like broken stones of marble
Spreading out like poison through my arteries
Over foundations of what we were building
Cant you remember?
Cant you see ?
I’m the primer you’re the casing
the bullet I carved my name into?
Why cant you see
Those purest things that we once had
All slipped away
Our fall is over
Just broken bodies on the ground
It’s tragic our scars didn’t align
And that we’re both Drowning beneath plastic
Not reaching out
But at some point we’ll have to breathe in
Embrace the cold
Submit to pain
Let it flood in
My broken eyes open wide
pail and loosing pigment
Lifeless now
slowly rising to the surface
Were the sun shimmers
And cuts through the dark
our limbs go still
at the mercy of the currents
Sometimes love dies silently inside us
Without a word
just a memory for guidance
