Set Me Free

My love for you runs deep, these feelings I have burn inside me, from the very tips of my toes through every last inch of my body.  You own me, my heart, my mind, my body, and my soul.  I exist only because I believe you love me. Yet here I sit; lost, confused, and lonely.

I am so overwhelmed with my own feelings that my judgement is clouded, distorted, my mind wheeling.  Everything I have ever known, wanted, desired, and needed has changed, been jaded; I feel crushed and defeated.

I hate myself for giving you this power, struggling to decipher my thoughts, every waking hour; regain control of my emotions, determined to not let you effect me, or hurt me with your unworthy notions.

I tell myself to just let you be, not let you steal my life essence, who I am, what makes me, me.  But all I am doing inside is screaming, just take me, make me yours, I will be anything, everything, all you desire, need me to be.

I have given my heart to your keeping, my soul turned upside down and tossed and yet I am floating in bliss when I am with you.  alone I am a dim light in the distance, lost, confused wounded and weeping.  
My love I beg you just this once pull me out of my internal darkness, wipe away all my tears, show me your love in my time of sorrow, quiet my growing fears, give to me all of your heart and human existence.  Unlock the door, set me free!
