White Capped Laughter

Longing eases as tip of toe
softly touches water
ripples in it's wake

scent of nature
surrounds as
breeze envelops me

eyes close in
contentment
dragonflies skitter

soft splash of
feet
tickle the lake

its belly
white capped
laughter

a smile touches my lips
giving and receiving
without pause

on my back
how the sun
loves the clouds

they hide her
secrets
and giggle in reprise

arms outstretched
I feel I could
hug the world

give unto others
take away
their tears

the leaves of the trees
say think small
cannot do it all

if a smile comes
to but one
your purpose fills
