WAKE UP SLEEPY JESUS

Wake up sleepy Jesus, I think I have something I need to say to you;
Will I ever see the day when I see you?
They say the end is coming, they say you’re coming around soon. Mothers says I’ll see you on judgment day, that day, the very thought ought I be afraid?
Shall I fear you? Can you hear me? I can’t you.
Wake up sleepy Jesus, your spirit still lingers, in what matters the most;
The father, the son, and the holy ghost.
Even after all of these years, your soul still live on and something tells me that it will yet for a while.
In your eyes, I already know that I am only a child compared to your wrists; I know my scars here are only so mild. I knew that day, as I watched the strands run like streams of red tears run down my wrists, none of it would ever scar up to the scars that you would die with, but one thing we would have in common would be, they were both result in betrayal.
I could feel your sorrow looking down on me that day lord, for it would have been you with me that day alone, you knew the secrets I withheld behind both sleeves, and did I pray that these would not scar? Did I pray at one point, that tomorrow I would wake up to find that day to have been a dream, but when I open my eyes, I see these wounds as they scream?
I was out to get no one that day, understand that much lord, but all in all I have hurt you in the end…
Wake up sleepy Jesus, to you I cry out, at this point I know you can hear me so don’t pretend.
