Maybe

the horror it is to have a blank mind
how dull it is having to relearn how to rhyme
breath in breath out
na, I don't have enough energy to shout
secrets floating here and there
maybe their my secrets but who's to care
my mind is dull and a bit blank
feeling like my creativity, like a ship, has sank
should I write about love?
or should I write about Him above?
maybe I will write about the birds in the sky
or the way so many have caused me to cry
should I spin a tale?
or write about someone who is deathly pale?
should I write about the desert sun?
or write a poem that is simply light and fun?
maybe I'll go outside and play
try to have a wee bit of fun today
maybe I shall take a walk
or find a friend who's lonely and would like to talk
maybe do a couple chores
might even fix a couple of the house's broken doors
maybe I'll learn something new
maybe I'll even write a poem about you
