between the two.
Birch trees bloom in June
black seas sway in tune
birds and bees busy,
summer swoon.
there's light,
never enough
and in between the two,
you drank, drunk, and grew.
wages on our bodies,
with love at our feet,
ideas incomplete.
stranded with somebody,
don't know where we go,
letting go of June
that had been in bloom,
quickly we died.
there's light,
never enough,
like love you had sweared to me.
fickle, fickle June
and in between the two
you drank, drunk and grew.
black seas sway in tune
birds and bees busy,
summer swoon.
there's light,
never enough
and in between the two,
you drank, drunk, and grew.
wages on our bodies,
with love at our feet,
ideas incomplete.
stranded with somebody,
don't know where we go,
letting go of June
that had been in bloom,
quickly we died.
there's light,
never enough,
like love you had sweared to me.
fickle, fickle June
and in between the two
you drank, drunk and grew.
