< my goddess of the crossroads >

   a rainy night
   at the crossroads
   pieces of a rainy night
   down at the crossroads
   a wet night
   of wet gravel
   and wet asphalt
   down at the crossroads
   down here looking
   for a message
   a sign
   and the rain washing and
i went down to the crossroads
   in the rain
   and not everything
   was washed clean
   and me
   in the road
   me in the road
   sitting in a wet mist
   just sitting
   waiting for the dawn
   and you
   just sitting here wishing
   sitting here wishing
   sitting down here
   down at the crossroads
   there's a smell to it
   a smell to the rain
   a smell of release
   down here
   down these roads at night
   and headlights
   down at the crossroads
   headlights
   and tires
   and singing
   my goddess of the crossroads
   sings to me
