Holding back tears

It's impossible to hold back,
The tears that are trying so hard
To escape and roll freely down my cheeks.
It's like trying to put a halt on mother nature,
It's just not going to happen.
The tears inside are building up,
Waging war against my eyelids,
But I'm fighting them back.
If my heart wasn't broken
And an indesernible pile of mush
This would be easier.
If my soul wasn't ripped and black
I could do this, without help.
If my love wasn't slowly dying
And turning into dust.
This wouldn't be a problem.
If only i could hold back,
These tears then
Maybe i can clearly see you
Walk away.
