In the Shire
I will not go out
into your 'real world.'
Not today
Today I shall read and write
And maybe bake a batch of cookies.
Or two.
of course, I'll need to make some tea as well.
Maybe I'll go for a walk
or do a little gardening.
Life is peace.
Life is quiet.
Life is calm
and joy and love.
At least,
it is in the Shire
And it is for me.
