Clear Your Mind, But Don't Forget Your Soul

When you cleans your mind but not your soul
It's like paying your body an expensive toll.

Saying that your head is clear
When your soul is still conflicted, and your losing control to steer.

You make all the right changes
You're still crumbling inside as you roll through the ages.

It's tough living a good life
When it seems like your only friend is strife.

When it's hard to make it through the night
Without that one person their to hold you tight.

When it's hard to open up
After everyone's used you, and the road you walk is rough.

When you spend your whole life running from the deceit
Only to find the devil riding shot gun next to your seat

When you're sure redemption has packed it's bags
And left you clinging on to dust and rags.

When you lose your best friend
And your heart never mends.

You're not alone
I'm here for you, I'll be your home.

You don't know me, but I'm here to say
Clear your soul, and open your mind, and I promise you'll make it to the next day.
