Blue skies

this is a tale of a guy
who spends most days looking up at the sky
hes a guy who once had a gun
hes a guy who claimed he never had a day of fun

drinking and thinking of a lost love
and everything else he was deprived of
he decided it was time
so the stairs he climbed

he got his fate from the drawer
put it to his head, he would cry no more
pulling the trigger thinking he ended it all
that's when his room mate came down the hall


the ambulance an police arrived
giving him a shock, proclaiming he was alive
part of his face and some brain on the floor
I can tell you right now this is not what he hoped for

they took most of him away
in the hospital he will stay
most days the nurse rolls his bed outside
and that's why he spends most days looking up at the sky
