A proper rogue and a most unnoble Marquis
Eloquent, erudite, and wicked to the core
Having ten times the shades of grey
The man I'd like to be, the man I fear I am
A warped Renaissance Man truly ahead of his time
The ultimate "Anti-Jefferson" if you will
Indestructable, unapologetic, and supremely defiant
Surviving Louis intolerant court and the Reign of Terror
Imprisoned and institutionalized for his writings
More than a hedonist, sucking the melon of life dry
Cataloguing all the fetishes two centuries before science
Experiencing each one with the curiousity of a spoiled child
Never the spectator, one who embraced, seduced, and raped life
Realizing that pain and pleasure are just shades of the same color
Truly the Darkest Knight conquering that most terrifying thing
Accepting himself totally and rejoicing in the perversion

This was a very nice poem.....and I enjoyed it....now the word FROG in this case is a pejorative....Madame X objects to this.....
and Monsieur Le Colonel.....surely your heritage would oppose it...no?

Mais non, but you forget the Princess and the Frog. All poor Donatien needed was the kiss of the right princess. Of course he would have bitten her lip as a prelude to some splendid wicked affections that would have left her spent, exhausted, and hobbling, and covered in scarlet licks from a bullwhip.

Quite a character. This piece is amazing and only enhanced by the shear variety of diction arrayed against the reader.

Thanks. Not you're typical hero to be sure. Though to be honest, I've read his work and even he can go too far for my tastes. Still ... I share his kinky tastes as reflected in a lot of the work posted here.
