Old broken windows
the window in the woods
shows you things, some bad, some good
This window looks upon the past
this window reminds us that some things dont last
the glass shattered yet remains in place
you can see distorted images of your own face
the harder you look the more you will see
there will be times when you want to flee
you wont break away
because these images are here to stay
the window burns them into your head
the window brings them into your bed
your dreams will seek the window out
showing you more things you forgot about
the window is always there and its waiting for you or me
its there right past the sixth oak tree
shattered glass that can see into ones soul
shattered glass trying to devour the world whole
the window in the woods
never once showed me anything good
shows you things, some bad, some good
This window looks upon the past
this window reminds us that some things dont last
the glass shattered yet remains in place
you can see distorted images of your own face
the harder you look the more you will see
there will be times when you want to flee
you wont break away
because these images are here to stay
the window burns them into your head
the window brings them into your bed
your dreams will seek the window out
showing you more things you forgot about
the window is always there and its waiting for you or me
its there right past the sixth oak tree
shattered glass that can see into ones soul
shattered glass trying to devour the world whole
the window in the woods
never once showed me anything good
