Black Is The Color

I can hear the iv go drip, drip
Scuffle, shuffle of feet
Why do I expect a body to appear?
Mind playing tricks

"I see a red door and I want it painted black
No colors anymore I want them to turn black
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes"

I open my eyes, trip, trip
Got to deal with the folks
I over indulged with my drug of choice
They have theirs, I have mine
They don't see it is so sublime

"I look inside myself and see my heart is black
I see my red door and it has been painted black
Maybe then I'll fade away and not have to face the facts
It's not easy facing up when your whole world is black"

Wonder what brother Freddie is up to
I bet still has no job
Came back from another undeclared war
What about that trade
Oh yeah he is a pro at conducting a tirade

The drip stopped and soon after
I finally got to go home
Now deal with the parental buzz
It makes me want to moan
Need a fix where is my phone?

"I see a red door and I want it painted black
No colors anymore I want them to turn black
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes"

Red, black, blue, or green
I don't care the slightest what they mean
The white is alright it can really cure
My reality can be fiction just like a dream
