No wonder we only exist

Empire of lies. The bondage we resist.
Existential crisis. Be careful of their wish.

No wonder we only exist

Mistranslating metaphors.
Giving way to holy wars.
A long-forgotten parable.
Is this what the anguish is for?

No wonder we only exist

Your alive to live but apparently you've missed
the point of this. Defined by your sins.

If for once you would just stop and listen
Instead, you run your lips.
Get outside
      Look inside
               Climb the vines
                          Leave behind
                 selfish wantonness.

But if you spuriously live by what you see,
never walked into the wind - you've never ever really lived.
