Liberation of the Mind

Emotions restricted
Change that hurts
I cannot alter it's course
Poison in the air
Cliched but not false
The carcass of happiness lies before me

Destroyed by those who wish to control
Through fear and hollow threats
Through restricting emotion

The change is clear
From life to death
In the castle I built for myself
Brick by brick
Made of my own fears
Of my own ego

Sadness reads the eulogy at happiness' funeral
Love runs away in tears
Hope gave up
The only smiles come from the shepherds of man
Their shadows darkening the terrified faces of their victims

Rules put in place to bend the biology of man
Threats with swords drawn to snap their remaining will
If only they could see as I see
The swords are a mirage
The threats stand empty handed
Their leaders fear the well informed
For intelligence will be their undoing
