The Magic of the Moon

You, who believe in dreams yet have never believed in The Magic of the soul-spirits contained within the dreams. You, who cry out to the heavens for the magic of love, yet fail to hear The Magic soul-song of the stars. You, who only remember your body containing pain have forgotten that souls are forged from impossible Magic things.

The Magic forms a bridge between the constraints of the visible realm and the freedom of the invisible spirit world but requires gentle nurturing to exist. My way, when nobody can see or interrupt me, is to let it sit on my hands where I can mentally caress its light and purity. I can not live without the quintessentially rigid rules of rationality, but I love the intangible, anarchical mysterious lands, the secret kiss of an eternal dream star, the tender loving touch of the soul-spirits. The Magic allows us to throw off the illusionary shackles of sadness and embrace the encouraging comfort of contentment.

The Magic provides all that the mortal eye is unable to perceive, all that has evolved over time. We have settled on the belief that it is just imagination, a fantasy of illusion, anything other than the truth that it will be able to eventually bring us total contentment and peace. I suppose that the soul becomes tired of waiting for some tangible evidence. It is so difficult sometimes to control the elements of The Magic, that the eventual destination becomes shrouded in the mysteries wisely placed in our way. Sometimes the soap bubble of reality bursts, or we try to fly too high and it just gets out of hand. But sometimes it becomes so clear, so bright, and so  physically indestructible as a crystal ball, it allows us to see through the mists and recognise the power that, if we use it correctly, can fulfil our deepest desires.

We can become Mystics, Prophets, Visionaries and Shaman. Many have tried to show us the way to true existence, the realm that exists just beyond our perceived reality, but have been regarded as fools, madmen and have been persecuted or even killed. The Dream-walkers, the Spiritual Guides or, to the unenlightened and uneducated just tricksters known as sorcerers, wizards and magicians. The Magic allows us to exist as spirit-entities, able to see beyond today, day after day, being capable of passing through time and distance, beings able to perceive and understand a small part of the inexplicable light at the centre of creation.

Sometimes I feel the energy shine so brightly in my hands that I can barely retain it without getting burned. By the candlelight and with the smell of incense seeping through my skin, I can feel the power of creation. I travel to exotic lands that hide ancient temples, sphinxes, mysterious and ancient legends, I rely on the winds to lift and carry my soul to see beautiful priestesses, wise hermit, lakes inhabited by mermaids, the Kingdom of Dreams Come True.

I am contained within The Magic and that grants me freedom. The Magic within the silence, freedom within solitude, because it is easier to disguise the words that no one else feels. The eternal moon provides company, the full, enigmatic and romantic moon, the moon that nobody recognises as to being a provider. The moon which can not be possessed or controlled, but, if worshipped and respected, can aide so many ventures. I walk in the moonlight rays, allowing The Magic to take me where it will. I love his individual Magic, his sadness, his mysterious and ambiguous confusion caused by the fluctuation of waxing and waning.

I become a whimsical dryad, lost within a maze of trees, running through the forests at night because I have no fear of the plethora of  sadly lost souls who attack the walkers who have strayed from the road. I  run with the wolves, contented to be  my allies, my guards ... because there is no more beautiful picture than of a wolf howling at the full moon in respectful dedication. I sleep with them quietly in cold caves, without fear, and they allow me the freedom to truly dream. Because I belong to this land, because this is my home, because here I am in no danger. Today, today I still control the elements, I lose my eyes forever within this beautiful Magic bubble, this crystal ball of existence. I allow it to transport me, I command where I want to be taken.

People become changed forever when they realize the potential for changing things that is just a single atom of thickness away. I like the company of repeat offenders, because they never change their minds once they have seen what is offered.
