TV makes you brain dead and robs you of your mind
Those who cannot see are not those who are blind
The radio serves to brainwash and take away our voice
And governments manipulate and take away our choice

The daily drudge of work keeps us in our place
As we scuttle back and forth in our man made maze
The drugs keep us compliant and seek to disarm
The state will protect us and keep us from 'harm'

Working for a pittance and two weeks in the sun
We tell ourselves we love it and we're really having fun
Waiting for the day when we get some release
Dying alone in a council flat is when we get some peace

Yet through this constant battle we still rise as one
What is the alternative when all is said and done?
We all have to stay focussed from cradle to grave
Don't dot your i's and cross our t's and always misbehave.
