SLITTING MY WRISTS

Thinking back about my teenage years;
every memory has some of my blood,
I was cut....
And I was scarred for life-
but it didn't matter, eventhough I tried.
I'd been slitting my wrists.
And I cried, as I watch the blood run from my veins....
and I cried, felt ways I can't explain-
I'd been slitting my wrists.
And I thought, then I thought some more;
thought about things that I never never knew, or were for sure
But of course....
now it all seems to make since-
I'd been slitting my wrists.
And I cried,
I've been wasting all of my time;
and I cried,
I know that I don't have much time left-
I'd been slitting my wrists.
I don't know why I even bother to try,
attempting to apologize and make a mends for all of the shit that I once did-
I'd been slitting my wrists.
They all believe, they think I'm crazy;
Maybe they are wrong, but I guess they could be right....
but I don't remember, I only know that I've been wasting away with my life-
For I been slitting my wrists.
Every since I was just a little kid,
I don't remember but it all seems to make since,
but I know it has to be there somewhere....
for I'd been slitting my wrists.
And I know, I know that I am taking my own life,
but I do believe that I am still in me somewhere-
I been slitting my wrists.
And I know, I know that I am standing in my own puddle of blood,
I need to go,
I really need to run!
But from what?
I do believe that I am still in me somewhere-
I'd been slitting my wrists.
I know that I'm still here, but I'm standing over there.
I been slitting my wrists.
They say that life is far to precious to waste,
and I've been thinking lately that maybe they could be right,
but its far too late now,
because I have already taken my own life....
Slitting my wrists, that's all I ever do.
