I’m not often tantalised and equally intimated
by the poetic words of women
and I hated that awestruck feeling
that so often left me speechless
while she inspired me to write
beyond my boundaries
and be more than I am
Even now in friendship, I am no less in awe
of her beautifully dangerous mind
laid bare in poetry
while she still inspires me
(unknowingly) to take risks
and be more than I am
