Its been a longtime
since me and my soul had some alone time
or had some grown time
to figure this shit out
on my own time
Now..
Im sure and true
that Im living proof
that you can still survive
no matter what your soul
has been thru.
After numerous times of playin the fool
loosin my mind and loosin my cool
wakin up some nights
I got no sleep
over things Id done
and promises I didnt keep
Trippin...steady trippin
as my mind kept slippin
Into my future
as I looked back at myself and said
"Damn I used to be her"
Now...Im a believer
becaue Im free
No longer worried about
peoples interpretation of me
because my soul is ancient
and anxious to be
present..in this space and time
