I am Tired

I am tired.
This chapter has ended
and now I must leave here
to chase the story,
begin a new volume.
If I allow the story to end
without a conclusion,
I will fade away

I am tired
Only listening to the silence.
I need to hear the stories,
the trials and tribulations
of inspirational people.
Bathe in their dreams,
immerse within their passions,
touch their lives.

I am tired.
Feeling the crushing weight
of emptiness, of nothing,
continually bearing down.
I must refill my pockets
with memory stones,
take on ballast to rebalance
my flattened soul.

I am tired
Looking up at the same stars.
I need a new vantage point,
an unknown, distant horizon
from which to view
the immaculate creations
of her Majesty's greatest
display.

I am tired
Walking over life's sand-dunes
without leaving an imprint
of having passing through.
I will walk with thunder,
make the world take notice
and acknowledge that I remain
very much alive.
