Peace and War
Peace always requires more effort than war
so when I look at the world it reminds me
exactly how lazy we humans are
It seems like everyone's at war
if not with a person
a religion, a country, or an idea
then inside their own minds
they're waging war with themselves
If being at peace brings happiness
then the state of war
must mean being unhappy
But all the parties involved
hate it when a war is over
Someone has to lose
and no-one likes that
while the winners
generally have to pick up the tab
and if they're honest
no-one likes that either
Why would anyone want to pay
for all that unhappiness
unless deep down inside
they really like it
this thing called war
Maybe we just can't admit the truth
not to ourselves
although the day we do
maybe something will finally change

view of humanity and so very honest making it all the more depressing. Your representation of war being all around us, even with ourselves is fantastic as it portrays realistically the sick world we live in.

you got it right my brother I believe peace will reign fully when the clouds suck all the blood of humanity by the power of a purple sun which is another way of saying never it is sad to have to say never to something so desirable so fixed in the heart of man

Spin doctors are really poets then I guess, Jack - the only difference being with us its personal, with them its towing a line. If you've ever written to order you'll understand it's hard that way to constantly maintain standards.
