Life as we know it
The cursor blinks
empty pages stare back
the walls remain where they are
in the shower a happy child wryly shakes his head
in the neon-flood of the streets
I get washed amidst
1.
waxy-artificial girls dressed in
high heels-low cut dresses
long overcoats-short skirts
2.
teen beefcakes screaming-speeding
on their bikes
3.
overweight mothers in Lycra lost
in their IPods with their toddlers
throwing curious glances
I call my soul-mate
She asks me to mellow out-ease up
I smile and start over
