Grasp my hand, take the time to follow me
I'll be your princess, if you be my queen
Only me, please

It may get dark, a ways up a head
This journey should be steady, if you use the light in your head

Your heart and hand clenches so tight
I can feel your love and our future, so bright

"Where are we headed?" I hear from behind
To an oasis named Malta, just stay in line

I love you, your heart whispers to mine, faintly
I love you most, I scream, loudly

"What if your deceiving?" Your mind teases
Please hold on, don't drown that pretty mind in disease's

And what's worse than that doubt
You wondered, without me

I feel your grasp loosen, as my heart sinks
I feel my grasp tighten, as your faithfulness shrinks

Your light flickers throughout the twists and curves
You can't see clearly I warn, you'll get caught by the tempting lures

Your voice is muffled, and I look back
Oh, I looked back, I had to

It's sickening, that feeling of aloneness
All I could remember is your hand and the memory of closeness

You followed far behind, as my voice lead you
I fought for your path home, as you dragged through

I remember the bruises and the cuts
My hear broke as I prayed, I walked through the last door and it slammed shut

Where is she, my whole body shook
The mother lost her baby, I felt my empty nook

The anger broke me down, to a place so dark
The tears flooded my world, too wet to ignite any spark

What's worse than even that

You left me behind

You broke such an eager heart

And what's sadder than that, you don't even realize any of it.

So here I sit, two bottles of mine
Balancing myself on this half heart line

I never really wanted you to go
I guess for me... i'll just be alone.

The words, you have put in front of me, pours salt on this open wound

I'll be in the sky, a tiny dot, or a star and you'll just be my pretty moon

Forever, Ricquel.
