Misery
It's like watching a movie on repeat
You memorize all the lines,
Know the ending by heart
Yet, you always wish
Always hope you could save what's doomed
But you can't
You never can
There's no way to change things;
To take back what's been said
Once words come out of your mouth,
They become vampires
Dark creatures who'll haunt you forever
And love, don't rewind
Don't replay old scenes
Why go back?
Why relieve old pain,
Old misery?
Wasn't it you who said:
"I rather forget"?
Sweetheart, go to bed
The movie's over,
And so is our truce
Once you go to sleep,
I'll sneak into your room and smother you
You memorize all the lines,
Know the ending by heart
Yet, you always wish
Always hope you could save what's doomed
But you can't
You never can
There's no way to change things;
To take back what's been said
Once words come out of your mouth,
They become vampires
Dark creatures who'll haunt you forever
And love, don't rewind
Don't replay old scenes
Why go back?
Why relieve old pain,
Old misery?
Wasn't it you who said:
"I rather forget"?
Sweetheart, go to bed
The movie's over,
And so is our truce
Once you go to sleep,
I'll sneak into your room and smother you
