you said to yourself
you should've
could've
but didnt think of
the problems that came within
the fantasy

you wanted that fantasy
to be the reality
saying to yourself keep me
& please hold me
tight & never let go

sadly it's only a dream
a daydream
that fades away
every moment
any chance you missed out
on telling the one
you wanted them
you needed them
in your life
to bring back the light that was once in your eyes

to make you feel whole
once more
before you become one with the earth
to make you see
differently
everytime you wake up
& saw the morn
to put a permitted smile on your face
