Rising Above the Senses

Remember -
You must rise above the mind
And the siren call of the senses,
That like the sea nymphs
In ancient Greek mythology
Beguilingly lured the sailors
To their doom.

Our destiny has always been
To arise to a greater
Awareness of the Friend.

Leaving all things sensual behind
Locked within the vault of the past.

Dearest Seeker,

You should be living
Only in the Now of the present -
By being in the world
But not of it.
