Brown Sugar - Redux
Black and white, like sky and kite
Nothing is wrong nor anything right
I wish, may I please. I wish that I might
I wish for a lick of brown sugar tonight
Pink and brown and under the gown
Her lips get wet when I’m in town
I’ll plumb for sugar and plumb all aroun’
For honeyed cream and a moaning frown
Smoke and Gray, neither night or day
If this is wrong I’d still rather stay
In a muddy world that’s not this way
I need my brown sugar, what can I say
Nothing is wrong nor anything right
I wish, may I please. I wish that I might
I wish for a lick of brown sugar tonight
Pink and brown and under the gown
Her lips get wet when I’m in town
I’ll plumb for sugar and plumb all aroun’
For honeyed cream and a moaning frown
Smoke and Gray, neither night or day
If this is wrong I’d still rather stay
In a muddy world that’s not this way
I need my brown sugar, what can I say
