From the heart
I had a heart attack this past Friday on February 21st 2025 at 10:20 am. I had 95% blockage in one of my coronary arteries.
I am writing this to express what I experienced. First of all when I started feeling weird I also noticed I had no saliva whatsoever in my mouth and my throat was completely dry, like a sand dune if you will, even after drinking a full 12 ounces of water, it didn’t feel at all like it made a difference. The pain that I felt came after while on my way to the hospital. It was like an octopus was in between both my breasts squeezing the life out of me. Then about halfway to the emergency room, I started feeling like I wasn’t really getting any air even though I was breathing, and it was making me dizzy and I started to sweat. Then I ended up in the emergency room where the squeezing pain became worse and then it went away 10 minutes later. Then it came back even worse than it was the first round. About 10 minutes later it went away and came back again, like the first time. Then the pain came back again, and it was the worst of all three. I asked the doctors not to tell me if I was having a heart attack because I was afraid that it would cause me to have a panic attack which would raise my blood pressure even more and caused more pain. They transferred me to a hospital with Cardio specialists. Not long after going to Beverly Hospital a cardiologist surgeon put a stent in my heart. I’ve done a lot of research on Atorvastatin and it seems there is evidence proving that they’re not as effective as they claim, and using Statins can bring on type 2 diabetes, muscle aches, headaches, stomach upset, and other issues. Then there’s other journals supporting the use of statins, and their evidence assures users that statins are proven to be a very good drug to avoid future heart attacks and strokes. I also learned that statins are a multi billion dollar drug and are over prescribed because it makes big pharmaceutical billions of dollars. So, I’m not sure what to do.

What an ordeal! I’m terribly sorry to read this but extremely glad you wrote about it because you’re here! And that’s a good thing. I would agree the meds prescribed after such an experience can truly send anyone down a rabbit hole of doubt, confusion, concern. It’s overwhelming. You’re going to find your way. My friend, you put your ordeal into a clear narrative that showed me into your experience with great clarity. I was so sorry to hear this. My doctor put me on avorstatin a long time ago and I have had no side effects. In fact my cholesterol has been well controlled by using it as well as the vascepa fish oil he prescribes. It works well for me. I have heart disease in my family, my Dad had a quintuple bypass after his heart attack. He survived and lived many years with his heart problems completely under control. The cause of his passing was asthma nothing at all related to heart problems. I have scar tissue on my heart from an event I wasn't aware of many decades ago. It was never diagnosed but I had chest pain for over thirty years. But I am well and walk daily and eat right. I would recommend the statins if your doctor does. They did the job for me. You are in my heart always.
