Memento Mori
I have mastered shouting at the stars,
I now know how to speak to storms,
Liquid pity in my eyes,
Memento Mori ergo Carpe Diem.
Live for the moment, seize the day.
I hear the words braided in the wind,
Hurling my curses into the void,
Whisper sweet nothings to the unquiet dark,
Memento Mori ergo Carpe Diem.
Live for the moment, seize the day.
I have learned to paint with nebulous hues,
To sew with gossamer threads,
Construct unreal intangibles,
Memento Mori ergo Carpe Diem.
Live for the moment, seize the day.
Life’s path, ill defined and indefinite,
Shrouded in a mist,
It can be found by letting go…
Memento Mori ergo Carpe Diem.
