Getting It Together  Again

Long towering beams of light
stalk the early morning air
which bites into my conciousness
which makes me aware .
All the memories of our past
they come to me in a crash
the fire is just an ash
it smokes where it did flash .
I long to liquify
the frozen fragments of my mind
then I can pool together
and once again remember
maybe learn to trust another
and take off the cover
I can't live like this forever
the time has come to endeavour .
I need to bury you and your pain
deep in the ground
then never again
will you drain my emotions and hound
I've turned down the sound .

The early street lamp glare
the past is all we now share .
Through the window is fine rain
this curtain is closed
across the frame
because I'm starting to thaw out my brain
which feels sore
and I'm getting it together
all over again and some more . [/font]
