Treasure Within

I think that everyone is a treasure.
Everyone is unique.
And when everybody is different, life is never bleak.

I see people as item filled treasure chests.
Quite literally,you could say.
Everyone's souls look a different way.

Some chests are full of rats.
And moldy cheese and fruit.
Some seem like they are filled with mold.

But are filled with the rarest treasures you've seen.
The ones who say they are filled with mold.
Can be the most different people you've seen.

I think that anyone could be a treasure.
With their talents,looks.
And abilities of no measure.

If you just put your mind to it,gather the jewels.
Whether someone sees inside you or not.
Put in effort,kindness.

Even in weather that is hot.
Because true people's kindness will never rot.
And will bring you a soup filled pot when you are sick.

Buying you your favorite treat on a sad day.
Is what kindness is about.
It adds jewels to your chest - inside and about.

With gold necklaces and rings in value.
Like you have never seen before.
Or like the people whose treasure chests have no value.

They are foul, filled with mold and rats.
The only way to see what the treasure chest is full of,is to make it open up.
And see the insides of the treasure chest.

So don't judge someone's chest by color.
Their contents,or their odor.
Because they might hold incredible power.

And are as kind as a flower.
Not everything is what it seems.
When you judge their contents on ocean screens.

Because they are the people with the brightest beams,
And hold the biggest dreams.
Maybe sometimes,I look like I am filled with rats.

Yet I hold the shiniest of jewels.
Old and worn,sure.
I'm not as I once used to be.

People judged without peeking into my chest.
Yet I try to get peaceful rest.
So let me open up.

And you'll find the rarest of jewels.

A poem on my point of view towards people and how they look in the inside.
""A chest,once full of treasure.
Now full of woe.
Who will open it up?
And who will hold the door.""
