Things Left Unsaid
Cold winter nights and freshly fallen snow
Casting thoughts against a pale reflection
Seems kinda random impeding on the flow
To navigate our world with no real direction
Cigarette smoke lingers in this conversation
Ideas whisper of relevance to be introduced
Organized chaos brings life into the situation
Raw emotion feeding off the logic produced
Hope is the warmth of love in this old heart
That fights the urge to hibernate in my head
Blessed with the light watching clouds part
I still got business with the things left unsaid

Author's Note
Early morning musing. I don't like snow anymore. Once I stopped being a kid it lost all appeal. Appreciate you.

Yeah I know that that's why I don't like it when it snows like you it was ok when I was a kid not so much now that is why I don't go out in my birthday cause every year it snows on my day 😞.

Winter does make us go inwards, ponder and reflect. Unlike you I love snow, it brings out the kid in me. Hang in there, my friend, soon it will be spring. Brilliant piece, I appreciate you.

Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Fia. I can't stand it anymore, it's always an inconvenience in one form or another. Snow makes me think of a dirty joke though. lol. I shouldn't tell it though. It's not very gentlemanly. Appreciate you.

Snow is pretty when falling but then turns to headaches navigating it here in the city ..
Still it’s a majestic force of nature that invites poetry ….

We've got it at the moment Damian, I used to like looking at it on Christmas cards, etc but after a few days when it goes slushy and icy, it becomes hazardous, so for the record Damian, I don't like it myself haha 🙃♥️

There's a stillness in winter...a pause for breath...before the scream of life resumes. I sometimes brace myself when winter hits because it's cold & dark & hides what's coming. But on a clear winter night, the stars are blinding & snow is diamonds. It's a balance, of sorts. This one really makes me think...

Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Willow. I understand the balance idea. I'm not saying there isn't a beauty to winter, but as I've gotten older, it just seems to disrupt the flow of my day. On the days it snows of course. lol. Appreciate you.
