Shadow of a farewell silhouette
fading to a lonely echo
lingering near
of pale memories, exhaling
with a final goodbye
leaving only a ghostly tear
in the hush of twilight
haunting soft and deep
of a moon shaded down
of the love we know
a story half told
embracing a final sigh
with a silent plea
and a pill of amnesia
