You Scare Me.

You are the scariest thing
in the world to me.

Not because you, yourself, are scary.

But because I am utterly terrified
at the thought of losing you.

I try to comfort myself with the thought
that if you are gone one day,
that I will be fine.

I'll pick up my feet
and I will keep walking along.

Yet every day,
I think it'd hurt a bit more
to lose you.



I get scared sometimes
that I'll do or say the wrong thing.
Cause the last thing I want to do
is hurt you.

I'm scared I will hurt you.
I'm scared you will leave me.
And I am scared I won't find someone else who is so much like me.
