Plenum Dominium      

I saw the crescent moon quite clear
and did not think I would
since brume of late had been severe
and forecast not so good.

And so it was with great surprise
when no clouds could be seen
when my wet weather jaded eyes
met beams from Queen Selene!

It was a double take I took
through sight in disbelief
at what I felt the Earth forsook
when clouds where gushing grief.

But by the moonlight I was blest
from Luna's sickle shape
apex clipping toward the west...
and heaven stunned agape!
