OLD
damn these kids today
with their weird hair and clothes
listening to cringy music
where did the time go?
used to spend all day
rocking out and hanging out at the mall
now I'm tired all the time
and my back is sore
but I can still party hard
with a few pain medications
politics is so flip flopped
when I was young I didn't care
but guess it's not cool to not care
now we believe in the TV
more than our own friends and family
picking up the phone to scroll nonsense
I would go outside
but the world scares me
everyone walks around so nasty
not to mention it puts me in a mood
fuck it, my bedtimes soon
wish these kids would get off my lawn
taking a trip down memory lane
used to be a world of good food
and friendly faces
not that old but old enough to know
my glory days are over
right before I sleep
I like to listen to music
like my mother did with the oldies
but now I do with the 80s and 90s
which I guess is the new oldies
before I close my eyes I think
if only these kids knew
just how uncool they really are

I can relate to this message of age, for I am 65 yet it comes with growth of maturity, in knowledge and wisdom for I appreciate your thoughts and insight into the deepness of the changes in life and times 🙏🪬 SHAMAN 🪬

Oh lordy...you hit so many tender nerves here & had me cringe giggling. My daughter has been whining about how she's getting old & I just Look at her & say "Now listen..." 😂🙌

I had to laugh at the end because I remember my mother saying "This is real music" and me rolling my eyes. She probably thought I was uncool.
Now I watch these kids interact and I think, very uncool.
Can we open a cool school and make it mandatory.
