Just Wait

You’re a devil running through heaven,
Left me tasting flames,
Ashes burned into my eyes.

Love blinded me so,
Locked heart, locked the skies.
Still, I watched you fly.

Angel with a devil’s tail,
Or devil with an angel’s wings
How do I escape you?

A ghost runs through my mind,
Eyes fixed on fading light,
What was our love, but a sick joke?

Just wait, the stars will turn,
One day, the flames won’t burn.
You’ll see the truth in the scars I earned,
When you’ve nowhere left to run.

True love doesn’t fade,
You used me well;
At least I had something to give.

Trying to escape you made me blind,
Rewinding cost me time.
Truth came when I wiped my eyes.

You swore forever,
Left when it suited you.
Funny, isn’t it?

Just wait, the tides will shift,
One day, the weight will lift.
The love you broke won’t be your gift,
When the past begins to stun.

When times got rough,
You said you liked it rough.
Baby, my heart couldn’t take the game.

Sad how the next one will bear
The heartbreak you left,
Carrying what you couldn’t.

You couldn’t love me,
When you didn’t love you.
You couldn’t feel me,
When you couldn’t see you.

Just wait, your heart will ache,
One day, the walls will break.
You’ll know the price of the love you fake,
When you’re the only one

I don’t mind being the villain,
If it lets you sleep tonight.
But deep down, we know the truth.

You called me blurry-faced,
Said my tears were just for show.
But my innocence was lost loving you.

I sacrificed it all,
Watched you walk away
Just remember what I said:

Final call for us,
Just wait, the skies will fall,
One day, you’ll lose it all.
The love you wasted will be your call,
When there’s no one left to run.
