In a couple of days it will be my 44th anniversary of my becoming a poet. If any of you remember what happened on December 8th, 1980, you will have a clue as to how I started my poetic journey that has become the most significant part of my life and defines who I am. I will be writing a poem to celebrate this life altering double edged sword that I both wish had never happened and know that if it had not happened, it is very likely I would not be alive today. Not sure what I will write about, moments of emotion take over when a poetic inspiration comes over me. I always feel the deepest on that day... jj
