Paradox of Desire

Mind is conflicted,
Heart is irrational,
Irrational to aliens,
Feelings they can’t understand.

Desire to unite,
Passion to stir,
To blend in bodies,
To accept emotions.

In our pleasurable disgusts,
Stronger now, weak later,
Smelly jellies hotter,
Enhancing touch with matter.

Goal is to know,
To know is to love,
To be inside warmth,
Embraced in safety.

See what you desire in mind,
Make dreams manifest,
Feel the goosebumps of taste,
Inside the weakness of the flesh.

Love in the eyes,
Lust in the heart,
Ephemeral, gone in the dawn,
Thrill is no more.

Believed in my lies,
Thought it was love,
it is dark in here,
Just wanted to see a glimpse of light.
