Anomaly

I ache for a body to hold against my chest

For hair I can run my hands through

For a mouth to smile against

I ache for a face I can cradle in my hands

For lips I can press against mine

For a head to lean on my shoulder

I ache for someone to support

To love and admire

To trust and feel the realness of their touch

I can be sturdy enough for both of us

I can hurt the world that hurts you

I ache for you

Author's Note
To say I hate physical touch is an understatement, my heart races at a simple handshake or high-five. I’m bafflingly easy to fluster, I flush at the smallest compliments or touches. But I crave that helpless emotion, I ache for it. At least I have recently..
How peculiar.
