Just Clearing the Air:
Now that you mention it I don’t like it when you’re joking
It doesn’t sound like jokes to me – only mean words being spewed.
Yes it matter’s how you feel and the way my friends are viewed.
I don’t like it when you refer to people with derogatory words
Words are like a punch in the face, they can really, really hurt.
Don’t talk about my Mother, don’t act like you know…
If you want me to really like you, back it up and take it slow.
Stop calling my friends names, instead think of nice things to say
Kindness is a turn on and it goes a long way.
I know inside your scared and outside your acting tough
Either way you look at it enough is a fucking “nuff”.
I’m feeling a lot better now that I cleared the air.
What are you looking at? Why do you stare?
I’m just telling you how I feel, is that too much for you?
I want you to be nice and if you can’t I guess we’re through.
I don’t want a racist boyfriend or a boyfriend who doesn’t like my friends
I want to hold your hand and love you- tell me now if this is the end.
That’s all I have to say and I think I’m being fair
Is there anything you wanna say to help clear the air?
