Very astute observation of yours. I was definitely aiming for death, and the eternal unconsciousness of it.
This can be dual in meaning, in that you can literally conceive infinite death in dust, but also, a lack of spirit and life in human beings to use such to prove there's no spirit or reality doesn't exist or whatever.
I couldn't think of a more fitting way than using "carbon data." The whole point of using science to disprove spirit or somehow put a literal gauge on it is simply "lifeless." It is to be mindfully going against free will, choice, observation, creativity, memory, reason, logic, and everything else that separates human beings from the animal kingdom. It's a "lifeless spirit", if you will, to use such to disprove being a created human being within creation that creates things, knowing that you are endowed by being created, at least in their terms, by intelligent design, or by my beliefs, God.
So really, looking at it both ways, it is lifeless, and it sleeps. Literally being dead and without spirit is lifeless, and using such to prove whatever point without God is lifeless.
In my beliefs, there is an eternal judgement to those of whom do not choose God's way, once given the opportunity (in the future during the millennial reign of Christ, and in The Great White Throne Judgment), and that is simply to return to the elements of the earth and having no more spirit life. Thus, "infinite repose."
