Swept By
Clouds come not to be swept by
Rain pounding pavement
Water rushes your senses
Caught up in the torrent
Little precious lost children
Can’t imagine the pain they’re going through
Finding human in the brush
Angels wings aren’t enough
On the road to my savior
Didn’t know it’d be this soon
Rain turns to a river
Taking away those I love
Can’t hold on tight enough
Get swept under my sins
Limbs of life go under
Day I want to forget
Scrub it from my memory
Don’t want to go back anymore
Put together what’s left of my lost family
Black Sunday lay wife and two to rest
Only way to get out of this nightmare so real
Rain pounding pavement
Water rushes your senses
Caught up in the torrent
Little precious lost children
Can’t imagine the pain they’re going through
Finding human in the brush
Angels wings aren’t enough
On the road to my savior
Didn’t know it’d be this soon
Rain turns to a river
Taking away those I love
Can’t hold on tight enough
Get swept under my sins
Limbs of life go under
Day I want to forget
Scrub it from my memory
Don’t want to go back anymore
Put together what’s left of my lost family
Black Sunday lay wife and two to rest
Only way to get out of this nightmare so real
