My Blues
When my light turns dim,
My blues take the shine off my eyes,
Glumness fills me
And delight becomes a myth.
When I cast her in a bin,
My sadness weeps
Crawling back to me
And I cradle her in my arms.
Buried together in a pit,
She seeks my aching tears,
Wiping them only to break me
Once again, her heavy weight suffocates.
And I let her be.
My blues take the shine off my eyes,
Glumness fills me
And delight becomes a myth.
When I cast her in a bin,
My sadness weeps
Crawling back to me
And I cradle her in my arms.
Buried together in a pit,
She seeks my aching tears,
Wiping them only to break me
Once again, her heavy weight suffocates.
And I let her be.
