It’s not always easy to love (too many reasons to list or get into) but the more we do it the easier it becomes.

Metta karuna muditā upekkhā are the basic rules i try and live by but the only way you can live by them is to be awake, mindful if you like.
People do bad things because their thoughts aren't self examined and so they see no consequences.
I have as much compassion for bad people as I do for good people.My rationale,if I need some, is that I don't know how the person that commits a crime got to that point in their lives.Of course their crimes are heinous and no sane person would condone them.
It's funny how we get endless news reports about heinous crimes committed by individuals, while the real mass murderers get off scot free.
How many people die or are damaged by poor or greedy decisions made by politicians etc.
How many people went to their graves during the GFC?Not one banker,not one politician got charged and the taxpayer was left to fix their mess.

We certainly have a lot to answer for, as a collective. It isn't right that one individual can decide someone else's fate, as you say, because of hate & then taking it too far rather than grappling with it in a non-violent way!
