Not A Single Second
Most could not last a single second in my shoes. Most would have killed themselves.
But I'm here throughout it all. Most could not handle a dark passenger like Dexter Morgan. Most would have killed or worse. Most could not have the joy that I have.
And that's how I truly know that I'm amazing and special. I don't put my worth in a job. Or in the ability to get married. I truly have hope whether others recognize it or not.
I still am laughing; I still am smiling. I know somewhere deep inside, I'll be okay. Because I have me, a brave, brave girl who knows her worth. She stumbles, she falls hard, but she's here.
She's admired for her strength and also her unapologetic ability to fall apart.
She's me.
