Trinkets

I’m invested in your trinkets
Your mind, a medallion
Your body, a novelty
Your soul, a jewel

I pleasure in the abstract
Share lines with the eccentric
I puddle under your wisdom
I pleasure in the scarcity of your word

Have I earned a page in your tome?
Have I acquired a grain in your hourglass?
Have I sampled your truth with the fairest of tongue?

Speak unto the leisure of time
And mute everything that is settled
