Fia

There’s a poetess that resides here
Who encouraged me to chase a dream
I had an idea that wasn’t always clear
A desperate writer with no real theme

She pushed me to find myself again
Another voice hanging out backstage
I cranked these amplifier's up to ten
She sprung me from my vicious cage

Thank you for believing when I didn’t
I owe a lot to the poetess named Fia

Author's Note
For the Living Memorial competition. Obviously this poem is dedicated to, Fia. Who first off is a very talented writer, and I enjoy her work. When I came to DU. I was a lost soul with no direction. Not sure if I could still write, tender from battling years of addiction. My last idea while I was drinking, was to start a podcast talking about music stories. Well I'm doing that and a whole lot more. She sent me info on how to start a podcast, that meant a lot to me. So thank you, Fia. Appreciate you, my friend.
